Bangor’s Clinical trial expertise recognised by UKCRC

The North Wales Organisation for Randomised Trials in Health (NWORTH Clinical Trials Unit) received further good news this week (last week they got their extension funding agreed by the Welsh Government) as they have been successfully re-accredited for a further 5 years following the 2017 Registration Review Process which was led by an International Review Committee of experts.

UKCRC Registered CTUs Network recognises clinical trials expertise

The UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) Registered Clinical Trials Units Network is pleased to announce that 46 clinical trials units have been successfully registered following the 2017 Registration Review Process which was led by an International Review Committee of experts.

Early diagnosis in cancer study awarded from Cancer Research Wales

North Wales Centre for Primary Care Research have recent won a grant application from Cancer Research Wales. The Centre will lead the project and work with NWORTH and leading cancer physicians to synthesise the current evidence and develop and test a complex intervention to improve the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of primary care physicians in cancer diagnosis.

Important new study on palliative care adopted onto the NWORTH portfolio

NWORTH to work with North Wales Centre for Primary Care Research on a new NIHR HTA study to evaluate the use of carer-administrated medication for breakthrough symptoms in patients who are dying at home.
