NWORTH collaborator recognised as NHS Quality Champion/Innovator of the Year
NWORTH would like to congratulate one of our key collaborators, Professor Esme Moniz-Cook, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Humber NHS Foundation Trust for being recognised as NHS Quality Champion/Innovator of the Year by the NHS Leadership Academy. The Academy aims to develop outstanding leadership in the NHS, to improve the quality of services and outcomes for patients. The awards recognise NHS staff who go the extra mile to motivate and inspire their peers, and provide exemplary patient care.
A key part of Esme’s achievements highlighted in her award accolade was the Challenge Demcare £2million NIHR funded research project into aspects of challenging behaviour in people with dementia. Prof Bob Woods as a co-Investigator and our Principal Statistician Chris Whitaker lead the NWORTH clinical trial unit’s substantial involvement in the suite of studies contained in the programme.
Esme collaborates on a range of major research programs in Dementia Care with NWORTH and Bob’s team. Well done Esme – we are proud of you!
